Summary:
A mother and father's 15-year-old son had run away. He did not come home from a party, and had been missing for a few days when the mother and father filed a report with the police. They then contacted ICS for answers.
The boy was entered as a Run Away Juvenile via NCIC. He had run away one other time before and was found in another state with a friend. The friend was arrested for an outstanding federal warrant.
Although the child was not on medication and not believed to be in danger to others, the parents feared he may be a danger to himself. Once the parents called our licensed private investigators, the investigation to locate the boy began immediately. Multiple attempts were made to find out where the subject was making cell phone calls from, utilizing cell tower “triangulation.” Federal laws prohibit unlicensed organizations from obtaining this kind of information. An investigation was initiated in three states to locate the boy. ICS conducted interviews and surveillance and worked with local law enforcement and security personnel.
A reward was covertly offered to one of the boy’s friends, who turned out to know exactly where he was. Once he was found, law enforcement detained the boy and surrendered him to his parents. ICS private investigators maintained surveillance on his activity once he was released to his parents. The boy again attempted to run away and ICS investigators continued surveillance on him. We kept the parents notified of his location, and after a few hours the boy was secured by his parents once again.
Conclusion:
The parents decided to contact a rehabilitation center to help their child. With the assistance of ICS, the son was found and the boy was given the opportunity to turn his life around. He will get a second chance in life all thanks to the assistance of the private investigator, the rehabilitation center and the parents’ love for their child.
